A photoshoot with Muckross Weavers, Killarney, Co. Kerry.
I recently got to travel to the iconic Ring of Kerry to work for Muckross Weavers photographing their latest collection. They are based at Muckross House in Killarney in the heart of a National Park area. It’s a really magical place. I was doing a little scouting on the day prior to the shoot & I was being watched by some local deer and stags as I wandered around their homeland. I could have just stayed with them for the whole day happily snapping away. It’s a major tourist area but still full of well tended natural beauty.
We had a lot of product to shoot on two models for the day so we had to be selective about the locations we used. In the shots above you’ll see Muckross Park area, Torc waterfall and the Greenhouse at the visitor centre. They are delighted that a few of their garments have been purchased by National Geographic for the N G online store, all the sales of which go to supporting national park areas, conservation and wildlife which is something close to their hearts in Muckross.
